Don Manifold is Managing Director and Founder of Manifold Advisory Partners. He has a long history of successful experience in the financial services industry.
Don Manifold is an expert on mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. He is responsible for advising various clients, from private companies and public institutions such as AT&T, Bank of America, and Sallie Mae to large corporations like Wal-Mart, Verizon, and American Express. He addresses the top issues with his clients: corporate governance, advisory boards, and compensation committees; internal finance and controls matters; tax planning; transaction structuring, including mergers and acquisitions (M & M&A) techniques. Additionally, he has been involved in cross-border M&A transactions.
Manifold holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in Sydney and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Touro College in New York.
Manifold was recognized by “The Wall Street Journal” in 2007 as one of the Top 100 Minority Executives in Corporate America and has also been named by “Black Enterprise” magazine as a Power 100 Executive. In 2010, Don Manifold was a featured panelist at the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Annual Conference on Compensation Issues.
Manifold started his career in 1990 in Adelaide, South Australia, working at H.J. Heinz Company. He also worked in cities like Melbourne, Sydney, and London. He later returned to Adelaide in May 2006, where he worked for KPMG until 2012. He became a partner and managing director at Ernst & Young in Sydney in 1998 before moving to News Corp. He was responsible for corporate governance matters, internal finance and controls, and tax planning advice across the group of companies in Australia.
Manifold is currently a Managing Director of Manifold Advisory Partners, a leading independent advisory firm based in Sydney, Australia. He is also a regular contributor on regulatory and corporate governance issues to “The Australian,” where he contributes to the publication’s regular ‘Regulator Watch’ column. He also writes for different financial and regulatory publications.
